An Evening With Farm Aid

One cool October evening we met up with a couple hundred friends at Luscombe Farm in Anna, Texas.  We were there to enjoy some great food, awesome music, and support a great cause - Farm Aid.  All of the profit from the tickets, to the auction items went to help keep family farmers in business. For bonus points, the weather could not have been more perfect!  And if you know Texas weather, you know how big-a-deal that really is. :) 

First, let's take a look at the setup: 

As people arrived, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served. 

As drinks and appetizers were being enjoyed, Here Lies Yonder took to the stage. 

We then gathered together to hear how the event was assembled and how Farm Aid helped local Rehoboth Ranch after a devastating tornado tore through their property. Then it was time for dinner. And oh, what a dinner it was!  The chefs were met with eager applause! 

When dinner was wrapped up, we made our way down through the pasture to see honeyhoney send off the night.  

It was an honor to take part in this awesome evening, much less be able to photograph it.  Thanks to all the talented people who helped make this event a great success and we can't wait for the next one!
